Now that looks comfy! Such cute babies.

![]() It is always amazing watching the babies develop and grow! Over the past 2 days, the puppies have figured out how to lift themselves up onto their legs and actually walk rather than crawl. Now is when things get fun! They will start to interact more and play and investigate their whole world. The cutest thing on earth is watching babies play fight in slow motion as they learn how to co-ordinate their movements. ![]() A picture is worth a thousand words. Poor Chai (on the left) can't seem to figure out what to do to prevent her brood from being stolen, so for now, it is "access denied" for Molly. If she is even allowed in the kitchen for a minute, she is in the nursery. What a brat! In Molly's mind, they are HER babies and she needs to take care of them. ![]() Wow....the puppies are growing like crazy! They have been doubling their weight about every 4 days. They currently weigh about 2 lbs each now! They are able to see and are starting to explore and investigate their world. Chai came into heat on schedule, but Molly was not due to come in for another two months. Well, hormones can change that and Molly came in early, but she did not get pregnant and boy, she was not happy about that. She wants to steal Chai's babies! At every opportunity, she is crawling into Chai's nursery. We have had to kick Molly out of the kitchen so Chai can relax! Molly is even developing milk in her efforts to be a mom again! ![]() Heidi did amazing in her first weekend showing. Her owners have worked with her so much! She is just a beautiful pup and she seemed to enjoy herself and the show atmosphere. All of those treats dont hurt either! She got her first point on the first day of showing so is off to a good start! Pictures to come soon of Heidi strutting her stuff in the ring! All four babies are doing great and have nearly doubled in size. Chai is giving them incredibly good care and her attention is helping them to just thrive! Eyes will be opening in a few more days!
![]() Chai gave birth to four very gorgeous babies on Fri night. The entire ordeal took just 1.5 hours and despite the babies being quite large, she did not need any help with delivery. I was not expecting this little bunch until closer to the 19th, but they had other ideas in mind. We have two sweet little girls and two handsome little gentlemen in the litter. Chai is just a fantastic and doting mummy for her new crew. Dandy and Chai will be having a litter in Sept and Chai is already looking very pregnant. Should be an interesting few months, and busy! We have had lots of outings this summer, (not as much as usual though...what with us having a little one of our own) but we are very much looking forward to the cooler fall temperatures and getting out to banff to see fall colors over the next two or three months. The dogs LOVE excursions. We have lucked out and found some great (quiet) spots to take them off leash, not too far from home. That can be hard in a big city like calgary. Haiden loves her stroller, the bumpier the trail the better as far as she is concerned. She is a cute little off roader, just like the rest of our crew! This picture was taken in July...we were passing through stettler and found this skate board / bmx bike park that was temporarily vacant, so we let the dogs test out their trick skills! They had a blast!
![]() Well, for those that do not already know, jason and I got pregnant in the fall and had our little daughter on July 23, 2013. Haiden Amelia was born at a healthy 6 lbs 14 oz and she is now almost 4 weeks old and doing great! Its been an adjustment with the dogs, and they are adapting actually VERY well. Haiden is an amazing little person and she is soooo good. Its hard to believe, but I am not even sleep deprived despite a pretty chaotic household. We are truly blessed. This picture was taken today at Southland offleash park. She is SO cute and she loves outings in her stroller. The dogs had a FANTASTIC time and swam lots. |
